$4.3 Million The Pick Jackpot Ticket Soon to Expire

There’s less than a month remaining for the winner to claim a potentially life-changing prize!

PHOENIX (September 26, 2022) – The Arizona Lottery is asking every The Pick player in Arizona to search their junk drawers, automobile glove boxes, couch cushions, suit and dress pockets – anywhere they might have stashed away a ticket bought back in April that is worth $4.3M!

On Monday, October 24, 2022, a $4.3 million winning The Pick jackpot winning ticket will expire unclaimed unless the player who purchased it claims it. The big winner was drawn on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, and was purchased at the Safeway store located at 1225 W Guadalupe Rd., in Mesa.

If this winner steps forward in time to claim their prize, they could choose either a lump-sum payment of about $2.97 million, or annual annuity payments of $143,333.34 for 30 years!

The Arizona Lottery wants players to claim their prizes, so everyone who plays the wide array of fun and exciting Scratchers® and draw games is reminded to check their tickets regularly because they may be winners right now and not even know it.

In addition to this multimillion-dollar winner, there are currently 7 high-tier unclaimed prizes that could still be redeemed – a combined $5.17 million – so there is a lot of money out there just waiting for these winners to claim it!  The largest single unclaimed Arizona Lottery prize ever was the near-record $14.6 Million The Pick jackpot, drawn on June 6th, 2019.

“This is an amazing opportunity for our lucky players to make their dreams come true and take home truly life-changing wins,” Arizona Lottery Executive Director Gregg Edgar said. “So check your tickets and look around your house before it’s too late. Who knows, you might be one of these big winners!”

In Fiscal Year 2022, over $20.3 million dollars went unclaimed. More than $6 million of that went to Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA, a program where volunteers are appointed by a judge to speak on behalf of abused and neglected children in court. $250,000 went to the Dual Tribal Enrollment Fund and a total of $1 million went to the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force and Victims’ Rights Fund.

The remaining unclaimed prize money was used to fund prizes for new games as well as several Arizona Lottery Players Club drawings, creating additional opportunities for players to win with qualifying ticket entries.

Tickets are valid up to 180 days after drawings take place, or, in the case of instant games, 180 days after the game has ended.

We recommend players double check their tickets using our self-serve ticket checkers, available at any of our over 3,000 retailers across the state, or on their smartphones with our free mobile ticket checker app.
