The Arizona Lottery is Making 2020 Twice as Nice for The Pick™

Unclaimed December jackpot allows Lottery to double all non-jackpot The Pick prizes

PHOENIX (January 7, 2020) – What better way can there be for the Arizona Lottery to begin the New Year than to boost prizes in Arizona’s own draw game: The Pick!

The Arizona Lottery is doubling all non-jackpot prizes for The Pick drawings starting Wednesday, January 15, through Saturday, February 15. That means your $3 prize becomes $6, your $50 prize becomes $100 and your $2,000 prize becomes $4,000!

That’s double the fun and excitement and double the winning!

The Arizona Lottery can do this as a result of an unclaimed The Pick jackpot prize that expired in December. In addition to benefiting Court Appointed Special Advocates, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Victims’ Rights Fund, and the Tribal Dual College Enrollment Fund, unclaimed prize money is used to enhance players’ experiences through new games, promotions, and bigger prizes.

“We are much happier when our winners claim their prizes,” said Gregg Edgar, Arizona Lottery Executive Director. “But this is a great way to use unclaimed prize money to deliver benefit to The Pick players and we are pleased to return this money to them in a fun and exciting way."

Arizona Lottery ticket sales fund more than a dozen vital programs across our state, including higher education infrastructure built and maintained by the Board of Regents, habitat purchased through the Heritage Fund to protect and promote our unique and iconic wildlife, and the Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA, speaking in court for abused and neglected children.  These are just a few of the 18 beneficiaries that receive hundreds of millions of Lottery dollars every year.

The Pick drawings are held Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tickets are $1 and sold at all 3,000+ Arizona Lottery retailers. The prize-doubling feature does not apply to EXTRA!, a separate game that can be added to The Pick tickets.
