Commerce Authority — Arizona Competes Fund

By state law, the Lottery provides $3.5 million to the Arizona Competes Fund for grants attracting, expanding or retaining Arizona’s core enterprises. These funds also support and advance programs for rural businesses, small businesses and the enhancement of overall economic development.

These funds are administered by the Arizona Commerce Authority.

Local Transportation Assistance Fund (LTAF):

LTAF is administered by the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) distributes monies from the State Lottery and the Vehicle License Tax (VLT) to counties, cities and towns to maintain and improve public transportation programs. LTAF I is funded from the state lottery, and municipalities receive up to $23 million per year.
