Cabbie Hits Big Payday
A Prescott man took the advice of the store manager where he purchases his tickets and is $100,000 richer. The winning Sky High Crossword Scratchers ticket was purchased from Woody’s Food Store, 501 Copper Basin Rd., Prescott.
The store manager recommended the ticket to his customer, who purchased several of them and took them home to scratch. When he saw the $100,000 in the box, he was so surprised that he sat there in shock. Then he called the store manager to tell him about his win, but the manager thought he was kidding. When he realized that he wasn’t kidding, the manager drove him down to Phoenix to redeem the ticket.
Our winner is a cab driver who plays Scratchers almost every day, as he considers them entertainment. He won $500 three days prior to this win and said, “My return on Scratchers has been good.” His advice to players is to “Keep playing them – that’s the only way you can win.”
