PHOENIX (Oct. 17, 2009) — Visitors to the Arizona State Fair who present a non-winning Arizona Lottery 2by2 ticket will receive $2 off fair admission — one of several Arizona Lottery perks available to fair visitors this year.
The discount is available in time for the State Fair’s first weekend and every day the fair is open, from Oct. 16 through Nov. 8 (closed on Mondays).
And again this year, State Fair visitors can also enjoy the Arizona Lottery Backyard. Located behind the Lottery booth in the main row of food vendors near the front entrance, the Backyard offers picnic tables and shade for visitors to rest and enjoy performances on the nearby stages.
“We always look for ways we can provide something extra special for our players,” said Jeff Hatch-Miller, executive director of the Arizona Lottery. “By offering a special discount for 2by2 players at the Arizona State Fair, we hope more Arizonans will be able to enjoy all that the fair has to offer, for a little bit less out of their pocket.”
Arizona Lottery mascot Windfall Willie will also be on hand to greet visitors at the Arizona Lottery ticket trolley, which will have all Arizona Lottery tickets available for purchase. Individuals who purchase a $4 2by2 ticket at the fair will be able to spin the wheel to win a prize. Players who spend $20 will get a free t-shirt and can spin the wheel to win an additional prize.
