PHOENIX (Nov. 30, 2012, 9am MST) – As of 9 a.m., the Arizona Lottery officially announces that the $587.5 Million Powerball jackpot winner has NOT come forward to claim their prize.
Gaming networks from state to state are independent of one another. Therefore, a winning ticket cannot be officially verified until the ticket has been verified at a retailer in Arizona or at the Arizona Lottery offices.
Once the winning ticket is claimed, the Arizona Lottery will host a press conference to announce that the prize has been claimed regardless of whether or not the winner agrees to participate or remain anonymous.
