A Change of Pace

Charles Mathis of Phoenix purchases Scratchers about once a week and decided it was time to try a different Scratchers ticket. He purchased one of the Cool 5’s and hit the top prize of $50,000. Since he’d scratched the ticket while he was at his favorite store, he had the clerk scan it. The ticket was purchased from the Circle K located at 1250 N. Arizona Blvd., Coolidge.

Charles went home and told his wife the good news. Of course, like most wives whose husbands say, “I just won $50,000,” she didn’t believe him. Once she checked the ticket and saw that it was real, she was just as excited as he was.

Charles, who still works in the construction field, has no plans to retire at this point. However, he does plan to get some chrome wheels for his truck – something he’s wanted for a long time. He plans to share the rest of his winnings with his family.
